The following is just what it suggests. We generally avoid naming specific companies for two reasons:
- To avoid potentially innocent companies from 'suffering'
- To avoid the risk of being sued by idiots
Nevertheless, I hope these few complaints make you aware of the potential pitfalls of dealing with unscrupulous or incompetent companies!

Confusing to say the least is the amount of advertising we come across, day by day - each company or product claiming to be the next 'big thing', the solution to the problem that you didn't even know that you had!
SomlyWood.com is another voice to add to that 'noise' - but aiming to speak a little more clearly.
Asking questions of whether we do actually need some of these products and services, not afraid to 'say it as it is'.

Become A Driving Instructor
It sounds easy - a real money spinner according to some of the advertisements. The reality, by many accounts, is not so simple to qualify, profitable nor as easy a job as suggested!
By visiting driving instructor forums you will quickly discover that the qualification is difficult to acheive (which is actually good news for the pupils!) with a significant proportion of people who pay for and begin instructor training never going on to become fully qualified. This fact seems generally quite unimportant to the training companies as they have already been paid for an entire course (which they may not even be contracted to complete if you fail enough tests and get ruled out by the DSA.
There are generally also (according to forums) a UK wide shortage of pupils for driving instructors, whereas these companies can say such things as "we need" - which seems to suggest a demand as opposed to a demand within their company for more instructors - whether there are enough pupils is another story!

The honesty and tactics of some of the companies that I've come across are poor to say the least and disgusting to be more frank.
