Buying A Pushchair
Most people with a new baby would struggle without a suitable pushchair, carrying a baby, no matter how light, takes its tole on the arms and back! Even having a pushchair can be an inconvenience if it is too big, too small, too spindley, too heavy, too wide, etc. etc.
There are then, of course, often large pricetags accompanying the most desireable designs and styles.
Quinny
I can assure you that we are not on commission from Quinny - we just think they are great!
Prior to the birth of our daughter, we looked at a number of different options, made a shortlist of of what we wanted from a pushchair - what we wanted adjustable, what we wanted 'extra sturdy', etc.
Following the purchase of a similar type from a friend, we fell in love with the Quinny designs - the way they look, the way they fold, etc. and set off for a showroom to get a chance to touch and feel the different options.
Having very helpful showroom staff, we had the chance to take a couple of different options of pushchair out to try putting them in the car. Although our 'cosmetic appearance' first choice was the 'Buzz', we found that it filled our small boot, which seemed fine, unless we were going to go on holidays etc. it would leave not much room for anything else!
If you have a product or service that you would like us to comment on or review, or if you have an honest complaint that you would like us to feature - let us know.
Our Final Choice
We finally opted for the 'Zapp' due to is's small size (I believe it is actually the smallest on the market - or at least was at that time). This small size has really showed it's benefits - especially when we go out with other families, and seeing them often struggle with the size of their buggies!
The Bad Points
As with lots of things, there are 'trade-offs' to be made, and one of the biggest issues with this product for us was the fact that it doesn't recline for a young baby (it is recommended to not have very young babies in any sort of 'non flat' position for an extended time). However, we knew this prior to your purchase and it has not proved to be a massive inconvenience.
The Price
We were fortunate enough to get a good price through Ebay.co.uk with a company called 'Kiddicare' - through which I think we saved around 20 pounds, bringing the price down to just over 100 pounds! - a bargain!
I hate paying more than I need to and think you would too!
